Yes here it is folks my shaky camera, wavering filming at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012 in the can. Technical gremlins? Or perhaps RTFM was in order? There might be a shimmering distortion or two, so it might warrant the odd sea sickness pill to be consumed. Still I have a nice voice if audio is your thing.
First up my flightline walkabout:
This is me interveiwing Lt Commander Ben Charles USN Boeing F-18E Super Hornet Pilot Call sign ‘JULIE’- that caused me much mirth;
Last up the amazing US Airforce Guys – F-15 Strike Eagle and F-16 Viper pilots telling me about their metallic pointy nosed steeds. Messed up the F-16 pilot interview as thumbed pause when brain wanted digit to stab record. But what a coincidence that both the Viper and Eagle pilot had the callsign SHAGGIE? Yoinkes! Or is that Yikes?….Okay too many Scooby snacks and I am no-fun-lovin miscreant.
What struck me about these guys was how ‘grounded’ they were (pardon the pun) and very approachable.
Anyhow, t’was a first stab at my journey towards making fly on the wall documentaries. Well more of me being a pimple on the ass end of a fly that happens to be on a wall. I’ll get there as soon as I can combine fly DNA with my own and change my name to Brundel. Buzzzzing off…..
